The purpose of this bike lesson is to prepare you for CBT.
The aim of CBT is to help develop the skills you need to learn to ride a motorcycle and get them to a safe standard so they can ride unsupervised on the road as a learner. However there are up to 4 students on the course all with varying levels of experience and the course has a set structure. What we want to make sure is that no student feels like they are the worst on the course. The CBT course can only move forward to the next module once all students have achieved the required standard.
With this in mind we want to ensure that no student is put under any pressure or feels that they are the one holding everyone else up. So if we recommend you take this course it is because this course has no structure or agenda. Its’ aim is to let you spend some quality time with the motorcycle until you feel you are ready to take part in CBT.
The course can last up to 1.5 hours and you will practice:
- Move off and stop
- Gear changing
- Slow control
- Figure of 8 exercises
- U turns
Once you feel you have the got to grips with the above exercise you can book yourself in for CBT.
You will still have to complete ALL elements of CBT to the satisfaction of the instructor on the day of CBT.
